2007 – The Year in Review

Posted by 3D-Outreach on 19 December 2007

“The Lord has done this, and it is marvellous in our eyes.” Psalm 118:23

As a new year approaches, we as an organisation want to take the opportunity to look back over the past year to give God glory for all He has done. 3D-Outreach has been greatly blessed by the donations and support of so many individuals and organisations throughout 2007.

Our office staff was privileged to include Charl van Wyk who got our teams program up and running and Kerry-Lee van Heerden who got our office in order, and we are so grateful for all their hard work and dedication during their time with us. We also want to thank all of the volunteers who offered their time and assistance on mission teams, through planning and preparation of events, and through prayer.

Looking back over 2007, we see countless times when the Lord’s hand of protection and blessing has been on 3D-Outreach. He has kept us safe through all of our travels, across borders, through sicknesses, and through needs, and He has truly shown Himself to us as our great provider. God has also opened up opportunities for us to partner with many amazing individuals and churches this year. Our partnerships with various churches and groups resulted in over 10 short-term mission trips. We’ve linked with missionaries in several different countries including Mozambique, Malawi, Botswana, and South Africa, and we’ve been a part of ministry ranging from giving toys to homeless children in a local dump to delivering the Word of God in a form in which people can understand to praying for the sick in village hospitals. Our intern team spent eight months working among the Tembeni people in Xai Xai, Mozambique and was able to impact many lives with the gospel of Christ. Their lives were impacted in powerful ways as well, as they grew in faith and understanding of God during their year of service. Through relief work in Vilanculos, we were able to bring the love of Christ practically to a disaster-stricken area of Mozambique. And we have been able to fill our mandate to be a resource to long-term Christian workers by providing IT support, organising and sending short-term teams, and even crossing two borders just to deliver a vehicle to a missionary who had a need. On the homefront, we allocated donations to those in need in South Africa and organised events to benefit the vulnerable. Materially, we were blessed to be able to purchase a vehicle for 2008 teams ministry and we were given desks and computers to help our office function more efficiently. We have truly seen and experienced first hand what a blessing it is to see and be a part of the unity of the Body of Christ!

To all of you who have partnered with 3D-Outreach in the past year, whether it be financially, materially, prayerfully, or with your time and energy, we want you to know that you are greatly appreciated and we thank God for your sacrifices. For each of us here at 3D-Outreach, the highlight is knowing that it is really God who is allowing us to partner with Him and with one another to see His Kingdom established here on earth. May you be abundantly blessed in the year to come!
