Linking up Resources in Secunda
Posted by 3D-Outreach on 9 May 2008Part of our mission statement at 3D-Outreach is to connect resources available with the needs we see around us.
On our January short-term missions trip to Secunda, we were introduced to an incredible AIDS orphanage called Abasizikazi. The home has increased in size rapidly over the past few months and they have had to do a lot of alterations and extensions to the home.
One thing they were in desperate need for was a new washing machine. Upon returning to Johannesburg and chatting to people about the home, a very kind sponsor came forward and donated a brand new LG washing machine to the home.
We had the privilege of dropping off the washing machine at the home on 26 April. It was such a blessing! We were greeted by a totally surprised and unexpectant Elizabeth (the lady who runs the home) as well as the local newspaper. Elizabeth mentioned that we were an answer to prayer, as she had been asking God to bless the home with a new washing machine.
We thank God and our sponsor for making this possible and changing the lives of those working at the Abasizikazi home.
