A Visit to the Lion Park

Posted by 3D-Outreach on 21 May 2008

“There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His.” – Hebrews 4:9-10, NIV.

At 3D-Outreach, we recognize the importance of working hard, but we also realize that in His Word, God has set aside times of rest for His people.

Our office staff took just such a day of rest on Tuesday, 6 May at the Lion Park (www.lion-park.com) in Johannesburg. (The only rule for the day was that we weren’t allowed to talk about “office things”.)

We had a fantastic time together as a staff reveling in the magnificence of God’s creative hand. Our day included a drive through fields of buck and zebra as well as through the lion enclosures (twice!). Feeding a giraffe and playing with the lion cubs were definitely highlights for our very “hands on” staff, and we were able to fellowship around a boerewors braai for our afternoon meal.

By the end of the day, we had countless pictures, refreshed hearts, and a lot of laughter. We are truly blessed to be able to spend time – both in and out of the office – with such an amazing staff and we are grateful for our day of rest and relaxation together. God is good!!
