Intern Team July Update

Posted by 3D-Outreach on 5 August 2008

Area of Mininstry: Mpulungu, Zambia
Local Missionaries: Div & Eleanor Du Plessis (www.ltprayer.org) (www.prochristo.org.za)
Time period: 10 weeks (14 June-31 August)

An unbelievable month has passed already since the team arrived in Zambia. They have been extremely busy with various ministries ranging from children’s work to practical building and painting.

The team’s basic week consists of ministering at the daycare centre that the missionaries have opened (both in teaching and hands on maintenance), digging trenches for the vegetable garden that will feed the people to whom they minister, adult literacy, prison ministry, weekly prayer walks, work on the jetty that is being built to facilitate ministry on the lake and planning a Youth Conference which will include sport, drama, dance and singing.

On a Spiritual level the team has been blessed with input from the missionaries during Bible studies, small reading assignments and fellowship. They are also continuing to work through their SATS (South African Theological Seminary) course. All in all, leaving them with a very busy but fruitful schedule.
