Meet Team 2009!

Posted by 3D-Outreach on 12 January 2009

We have asked each of our new 2009 Internship Team members to write a brief introduction on themselves so that you may get to know them better. We are very excited about this Team and we pray that you will share our excitement and anticipation for what this year holds.

Please pray for our Interns!

MOSA MOTHAMAHA

I spent the first 7-8 years of my life in Soweto, where I was brought up by my grand parents while my mother pursued a degree in Social Work. As soon as she completed her studies she worked to secure a home for us in Parktown. We lived there until 2 ½ years ago when we relocated to Limpopo for work. My mother and I have a wonderful relationship of trust and honesty with God as the foundation. My mother ensured that I was raised in a Christian home and that is how I came to know God as my personal Lord and Saviour.

I am now 23 years old and found out about the 3D-Outreach program through an advertisement in the Joy Magazine. I had the desire to do Missions Work and so I applied for the Intern Program and here I am!!
I was particularly interested in 3D because it sees itself as the Body of Christ with different parts and a mission to bring Good News and expand the Kingdom of God through working alongside Long-term missionaries. I feel blessed to be a part of this program.

ZAMOKUHLE NGCOBO

I will soon be 28 years old and I come from the North coast of Durban. I came to know Christ as my personal Saviour in 2002 when I visited my sister in Pietermaritzburg. I was there with the aim of enjoying myself but God met me there and changed my life forever.

I came to 3D-Outreach because I believe God wants me to be here. I also have a heart and passion for missions and its this passion that motivated me to commit one full year of my life to that calling. I am here at 3D-Outreach to discover what God’s will is for my life and to be used by God to touch the lives of people and leave my mark on the world by reaching out to the poor, the captives and the blind.

DEBBI PEROLD

Greetings

I am living my dream, that only God made possible

So let me tell you a little more about myself:

I was born 07/08/1989. My family knew of God but had no relationship with JESUS. After my parents divorced, I lived with my mother and sister, some of the greatest memories I hold. Since I can remember it has been a passion to go work up in Africa, and be a help to the needy.

Mostly through my school years I wanted nothing to do with Him until I was asked by a local Church to go on Summer Camp. I tagged along for the adventure and friends until God unveiled my eyes and I fell at the feet of Jesus. I asked Him to come into my life as I realized all that I had been missing without Him. Immediately when I came back I got involved in the church and wanted to get baptized with water. Thats when my passion grew into a Godly passion and got involved in small local Outreaches and Scripture Union camps. Upon coming across an ad in the Joy magazine, I knew 3D was for me but I felt I was not ready. I had plans to travel the U.K first, as I did that for a year in between jobs. One day, after my application for collage was already accepted and flat already paid, the Lord said, “No, 3D Outreach” and I knew this is what God wants me to do, and I obeyed.

This year has been the best decision I have ever made and I’m having a great time. I am living the life God intended for me, and am happy beyond words.
Praise Him
