Internship Team 2011
Posted by 3D-Outreach on 26 January 2011Our Intern Team arrived on the 15th of January 2011 to start their missions journey with 3D-Outreach. After a time of sharing and prayer, the team said their farewells to their families and friends and settled in to their new home. The theme verse for this year’s team is John 13:34-35 “A new commandment I give you: Love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another”
The team’s training began with an adventure camp which was designed to help them overcome their fears, learn to work together as a team, develop life skills, deal with conflict and much more. They were absolute stars and dealt with every situation from a three hour hike in the rain to abseiling down a mountain. They were stretched physically, emotionally, mentally and Spiritually and came through every activity with success.
The team has also received training in etiquette, equipment usage and practical skills, photography, problem solving, spiritual development and so forth. At the end of this month the team will be joining in with training given by OM (Operation Mobilisation) which will continue until July. During this time they will receive theoretical as well as practical missions training. Once they have completed this training they will be sent as a team on outreaches to various missionaries.
We are very excited about the work that God is going to do in and through our 2011 Intern Team. Please keep them in your prayers as they continue to seek God, grow in understanding and strength and reach out to touch people’s lives all over Africa.
