Overseas visits

Posted by 3D-Outreach on 22 August 2011

Since establishing new offices overseas, we have seen the need to be more in contact with the various places. Even though it is a costly experience, personal contact cannot be replaced by electronic communication such as email or Skype, and so we made a point to go and visit.

This recent trip started off as an invite to speak at a missions camp in the States. Then, the UK office said that they were having their next meeting at the same time, so we made a point of popping in there on the way. It all finally culminated to setting up an official itinerary with many worthwhile meetings and visits in between.

The trip began in London, UK. As we landed at Heathrow, we had a meeting with a first time contact, who proved to be an incredible person with amazing contacts and willingness to help. This meeting seemed to be the trend setter, as the next 5 days were filled with amazing people and places. The 3D Team meeting was also a packed time of sharing, training, and fellowship, that left one feeling excited about the future in the UK.

The US was filled with good American food and lots of good fellowship. The time enabled us to meet with the US 3D Board and many other important people. It started the ball rolling for future projects such as leadership training, short term mission trips and resourcing for missionaries. The missions camp was also a great success, as we were a part of young people doing missions in a practical way. We feel blessed to see what God is doing in the States.

Thank you to all those that hosted and made our time away from home so memorable! We look forward the next visit!
