What Is In Your Hands?

Posted by 3D-Outreach on 31 May 2013

In 1 Corinthians 6:20 Paul reminds believers, “…you were bought with a price…” So then, who owns us? God does. What price did He pay to own us? Jesus’ blood.HandsThat means that everything you are, and everything you have belong to God for His purposes.

The question is, “How can I use all of me in such a way that honours God so that He will say in the end, ‘Well done good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’?” We know what God wants us to do – make disciples of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20), but sometimes we don’t know how we can possibly do that.

Our question is, “What is in your hands?” It’s a simple question with profound implications. All of us have been designed by the Sovereign God to be useful to Him in particular ways. So from our perspective, God uses regular people with ordinary skills to do extraordinary things for His glory.

Here at 3D-Outreach we see this happen all the time. Here are a few examples that we have experienced over the last 2 months.

– A group of skilled sowers in a local church sowed mattress covers to be used at our training base, helping our interns in a practical way as they go about making disciples of Jesus Christ.

– An electrician in a local church set aside precious time to help a church desperately in need of electrical work, meaning they can use their building more effectively for Gospel-proclamation.

–  A group of guys from a local church in SA has partnered with a church in Swaziland to tile and paint their building, also helping them improve their facility for Gospel-ministry.

So, what is in your hands? Why not drop us a line and tell us and we can tell you how to connect your talent with needy people to God’s glory. We can’t wait to hear from you!
