Jump Team Applications 2016

Posted by 3D-Outreach on 19 November 2015

jump-teamIf you are looking for a gap year that is more than just a year of fun and adventure, but includes something of eternal significance, Jump Team may be the answer. It is a one year commitment running from January to November for young adults (18-29).

It involves 4 months of intensive training in missions, ministry, theology, practical skills and personal development. This is followed by a 6 month outreach phase. During this time teams are sent out to work on the field under long term career missionaries for 2 weeks – 2 months at a time. These outreaches could include a wide variety of activities and ministry, such as children and youth ministry, evangelism, Bible studies, preaching, visitations, sports and creative outreach, practical work etc. depending on the needs.

It requires a willingness to serve, a solid relationship with Christ, perseverance, a teachable spirit, compassion, hard work, maturity, respect, and a sense of humour. It will be a year filled with much blood, sweat, tears, exhaustion, laughter and growth, and it comes with a warning. Your life will never be the same again. Missions is highly addictive, and once you taste it, it may turn your life around. You may never be satisfied with ordinary, normal life ever again, it will ruin you for the average and mediocre.
