Intern Team April Update

Posted by 3D-Outreach on 8 May 2008

Area of Ministry: Umtata, Transkei
Local Missionaries: Barry and Louise Adkins (ZEMA)
Time period: 2 months (April & May)

The intern team has completed their first month of ministry with ZEMA (www.zema.org). It has been a month of excitement, challenge and hard work! The team has been helping Barry and Louise with various aspects of ministry, some of these include:

Clearing and sorting storerooms
Holiday Bible Club
Practical hands-on maintenance
Children’s ministry
Sharing testimonies
Teaching at Sondela Pre-primary
Biblical studies and teaching
Sports ministry

Each member of the team has had the opportunity to experiment with different types of ministry in order to stretch them and help them to find their niche. They have had to deal with working together as a team on the field, juggling team responsibilities, personal growth time, ministry requirements and learning to adjust to the culture.

The team has also had some amazing input from Barry and Louise. There is an abundance of knowledge, experience and Spiritual insight that comes with being a missionary and the team has been in the fortunate position to benefit from Barry and Louise’s journey and experience.

As 3D-Outreach staff we are extremely proud of the team for their dedication and commitment to the vision of being servant-hearted. Please continue to pray for Suzette (team leader), Lehlohonolo (assistant team leader), Stephanie, George and Kevin.
