Churches in action
Posted by 3D-Outreach on 13 January 2017What is the purpose of the church? Perhaps many of us would give many different answers to this question. But I am sure many would agree that at least one aspect of the church is to reach out to others with the gospel and love of God. We continue to work with a number of churches helping them to do just this.
Recently one such church was able to do a short trip to do just this. Here is what one of them had to say about their experience:
“It was such a privilege to be part of a team of 9 people from Open Baptist Church in Hartbeespoort to partner with 3D-Outreach for a short term mission trip to a local township. As a first time member of a mission trip, I was really nervous and unsure of what to expect. I was so appreciative of the day of training run by 3D-Outreach, and for the experience of my team mates in guiding me through. We ran a children’s programme every morning, which was a lot of fun, although difficult navigating the language barrier. Luckily one of our team members could speak the language as interpreters were not available in the mornings. In the afternoons we went door-to-door, ministering to the locals. It was challenging to do this over the weekend but God was faithful and we saw souls saved even in the midst of Satans stronghold. We showed the Jesus film at night, again with many challenges but through prayer God used the film to save even more lives. It was an experience I’ll never forget and it was so exciting to be going out and spreading Gods word, as we have been instructed to do by Jesus himself.”
